Drawing near the isle of the Sirens (a Maritime Hull comic)

The second of a series of comic books produced for the Maritime Hull project, highlighting local heritage and things of maritime historical importance. The comics feature Lily and Jacob, two precocious kids who are members of various local heritage and art clubs. In this instance looking at the painting of Ulysses and the Sirens by artist Herbert Draper, a favourite of the public at The Ferens Art Gallery, Hull. Lily and Jacob talk about the history of Sirens, and how over time they transformed from curious bird like creatures into the form of mermaids.
