The focus of the image as with many of the images in this set, is the Devi of cards in the foreground. Just trying to get the feel of your typical dungeoneers stumbling across a hoard of treasure, but somewhere in amongst it is that powerful and not necessarily “friendly” artefact.

And the quiet but of the image. I like to think that the two inanimate objects in this part are at odds with each other. The Medusa head, being a guardian, meant to ward off travellers. While it was the big statue that lured the party here…
